Löwe - Tier 8 German Premium Tank Review

Hello Guys & Gals,

For my first real post I decided to do a review of the Löwe heavy tank since it is a very common sight on the battlefield and resides in the garage of many.

The Löwe is equipped with a 10.5 cm gun with has an average of 320 damage and a penetration ability of 234 mm. Whilst on first impressions the gun seems to lack any real damage ability it more than makes up for this with is amazing accuracy.

The gun is designed to be used from distance to pick off and support the tanks at the front. It is strongly advised that you are not the front tank leading the charge at close range. However, it should be noted that when you are the top tier or when your allies are in need do not just sit at the back and let them die/ be overrun.

Armor on the tank is somewhat scarce and it only has 120 mm of frontal hull armor whilst this may give you  chance to bounce tier 7 and below soon as you encounter an tier 8 + you armor isn't gona be up to much. It is worth trying to artificially angle your armor as this may result in the odd bounce. The turret on the other hand whilst also only having 120 mm of armor is very curved so has a good chance to deflect so going hull down on any map is always good. :)

Tactics

Often Löwe drivers are automatically classified as noobs just due to the tanks reputation, it is in reality a very good tank but you just need the experience to use it to a certain extent this can only be gained by a large amount of battles but heres a few tips to get you started:

1) Have experience with the Tiger 1 this should go someway to setting you up to a tank much like the Löwe.

2) It is not a front line tank so don't use it as one.

3) The first crew research should be repairs as you'll find a lot of components easily get damaged.

4) Be ready on those fire extinguishers due to the frontally placed engine.

5) try playing peek-a-boo whilst the tank has a slow and sluggish top speed to does well with popping out and darting back in.

Income

The Löwe is a very good money earner im my current best match clocked in at 149,000 credits - ammo costs. Whilst im sure people have done and often do better than me it goes to prove that it can be a very good money earner and with some good game you can soon bring in hundreds of thousands of credits.

Overall, I think the Löwe is an excellent tank which is both fun to play when mastered and an excellent money earner that often does well and in my opinion i would class it as a definite BUY.

I hope you have enjoyed my first post and maybe gained something from it, i intend to be making more posts soon so stay tuned and please feel free to leave comments and and feels you have about the blog.

Happy Hunting.
