Artificial Sloping.. Who, What, When, Where, Why?

Hello,

Today will just be a short post to explain a very simple point that quite a few people seem to miss or do not understand or realize that it can be done.

Artificial sloping is the act of stopping your tank so that your armor is angled towards the enemy to create an artificial slope which increases the thickness of your armor and increases the change of a shot bouncing off your armor. (see chart below for accurate info)

However, you do have to be careful to not over do the angle at which your turn away from your enemy or you risk exposing your weak side armor.

Furthermore, not all tanks should be sloped I see time and time again people in is-3's and 7's trying to angle there armor away from me, yet due to the fact there armor already has sideways sloping all they are managing to achieve is straighten there armor out and increasing the chance of a penetrating hit. So with these tanks aim your armor straight at the enemy.

Hopefully this went someway to clearing up the confusion that seems to surround this subject and if you have any questions please post in the comments and i'll do me best to answer.

Happy Hunting
